a2 Milk™ is delicious, nutritious and completely natural cows’ milk that some people find easier on digestion.
a2 Milk™ has one small but significant difference. All cows’ milk naturally contains protein. We select a specific type of cow that only produces the A2 beta casein protein and no A1. Research has shown the A2 protein is digested differently than A1. There are many people who feel uncomfortable after they drink ordinary milk or lactose-free milk yet they can enjoy a2 Milk™ without discomfort – so this one small difference makes a big difference in many consumers lives.
a2 Milk™ looks like milk, tastes like milk should, is completely natural and nutritionally dense just like ordinary cows’ milk and is suitable for people of all ages (including children) to drink and enjoy.
The one big difference is in the type of cow.
Different cows naturally produce milk with different protein structures. Our farmers select and separate cows that only produce A2 beta-casein protein. Then, they milk them separately. Other fresh dairy milk has a mixture of A1 and A2 proteins. Research shows that A1 and A2 are digested differently. Many people from all over the world tell us they feel the difference when they drink a2 Milk™.
a2 Milk™ is a naturally occurring cows’ milk, not a result of a technological process or genetic engineering.
Our milk is pure, 100% natural and has no additives.
Doctors recommend full cream milk for children over 12 months and low fat milk, for children over the age of two. However, people (including children) with a medically diagnosed allergy to cows’ milk protein or lactose should not drink a2 Milk™, or any other natural cows’ milk.
Yes, a2 Milk™ contains levels of lactose comparable to that of standard milk. If the switch to a2 Milk™ allows the consumer to enjoy all of the significant benefits of dairy again, without disturbance to their digestive wellbeing, this is occurring in the presence of lactose.
a2 Milk™ contains the same quantity of lactose that is found in standard milk and will not resolve any medically diagnosed lactose intolerance.
However, if consumers have diagnosed lactose intolerance but would still like to consume a2 Milk™, a lactase enzyme supplement may help. An example is “Lacto-Free” mini-tablets which, when used according to directions, will help break down the lactose milk sugar making it possible for them to enjoy dairy products without the symptoms.
