At The a2 Milk Company’s annual meeting today, three directors are standing for re-election.
While Mr Jesse Wu will seek re-election at the annual meeting today, the Company advises that he will retire from the board around the end of the calendar year.
Mr Wu’s decision to retire from the Board is due to the increasing demands of his professional and personal commitments.
David Hearn, Chairman of the Board, said, “Jesse has been an outstanding director since he joined the Board in May 2017 and has made a significant contribution to the Company.”
“Jesse feels that the time has now come for him to step down in order to take care of his other priorities. In his typically supportive style, Jesse has agreed to stay on until the end of the calendar year while the board works through the process of identifying a replacement. I am delighted that Jesse has also agreed to take up an on-going role of special advisor to the Chairman when he steps down from the board.” said Mr Hearn.
The Company expects to be in a position to provide an update on the appointment of a new director prior to the Company’s half year results announcement.
