A2 plans move into Asian market

Specialty milk company A2 Corporation is planning to launch infant formulas and milk powders in Asia, as it mulls a listing on the main boards of both the New Zealand and Australian stock markets.

The company’s new chief executive, Geoff Babidge, says A2 is trading profitably, and he believes it will make its first profit this financial year.

A2 recently bought out its joint venture partners in Australia and North America in a bid accelerate growth in those regions.

Mr Babidge says there are also huge opportunities in Asia, where it plans to launch new products next year.
