Freedom Foods Group Limited The a2 Milk Company
Freedom Foods Group Limited (“Freedom Foods”) notes the announcement by The a2 Milk Company (“A2M”) that it has received an expression of interest in relation to an acquisition of all of the shares in A2M.
Freedom Foods advises that a consortium comprising Freedom Foods and an unnamed leading international liquid dairy milk Company has provided an indicative, non-binding and conditional expression of interest to A2M with a view to undertaking due diligence to enable the consortium to determine whether to enter into a binding proposal. This process is ongoing and there is no certainty that an offer will be forthcoming.
Freedom Foods is a significant shareholder in A2M, with a long history and strong commercial ties to the Company, including through its largest shareholder, the Perich Group.
Freedom Foods will keep the market informed of any material developments in compliance with its continuous disclosure obligations.
