SAMR approves re-registration of The a2 Milk Company’s China label infant milk formula product
The a2 Milk Company (a2MC, the Company) notes the announcement from Synlait Milk (Synlait) today confirming it has received approval from China’s State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) for the re-registration of a2MC’s China label infant milk formula (IMF) product, 至初® (stages 1, 2 and 3), formulated in line with China’s new GB standards.
SAMR’s approval will allow Synlait to manufacture 至初® for a2MC until September 2027[1]. Production is expected to commence later this month with product transitioning in market during 1H24[2].
The a2 Milk Company’s Managing Director and CEO, David Bortolussi said:
